1st you need equation for the surface area of a sphere which is:
A=4*π*r^2
Where r=radius
r = diameter/2 or d/2

So
area of a sphere = 4*π*(d/2)^2

Plug in the area given
1041 = 4*π*(d/2)^2

Solve for d
1041/(4* π)=82.84

82.84 = (d/2)^2

Sqrt(82.84)=d/2

9.10=d/2

9.10*2= d

18.2=d
So the answer is 18.2 in

Wright a real world problem that involves classifying a quadrilateral. Then solve the problem.
Solution 1
An amusement park ride has a moving platform attached to four swinging arms. The platform swings back and forth, higher and higher, until it goes over the top and around in a circular motion. In the diagram below, AD and BC represent two of the swinging arms, and DC is parallel to the ground (line l). Explain why the moving platform AB is always parallel to the ground.

The shape of quadrilateral ABCD changes as the moving platform swings around, but its side lengths do not change. Both pairs of opposite sides are congruent, so ABCD is a parallelogram by Theorem 8.7.By the definition of a parallelogram, AB DC . Because DC is parallel to line l, AB is also parallel to line l by the Transitive Property of Parallel Lines. So, the moving platform is parallel to the ground.

Question
1. For which angle is secant undefined? a. 30° b. 45° c. 180° d. 270° 2. Which of the following is csc(-166°) equal to? a. csc⁡(14°) b. -csc⁡(14°) c. -csc⁡(-14°) d. csc⁡(166°)
Solution 1

1. The secant is defined as the inverse function of co-secant or cos function

Hence when the cosine is 0, the secant is 1/0 which is undefined. So, when cosine is 0, secant is undefined

Cos 30 =  \sqrt{3} /2

Cos 45 =  1/\sqrt{2}

Cos 180 = -1

cos 270 =0

Since cos 270 is 0, secant of 270 is undefined

Answer is d: 270

2. cosec (-x) = - cosec (180 -x)

We have cosec(-166) = - cosec (180-14) = -cosec (14)

Alternatively we can confirm this as csc (-166) = -4.133565 and -csc(14) = -4.133565; Hence, we can reconfirm that the answer arrived at is right

Therefore csc (-166) = -csc(14) (Option B) is the right answer

Question
A density curve for all of the possible weights between 0 pounds and 1000 pounds is in the shape of a rectangle. What is the value of the density curve in this interval?
Solution 1

Answer:

The area under the curve is one.

Step-by-step explanation:

A density curve for all of the possible weights between 0 pounds and 1000 pounds is in the shape of a rectangle. What is the value of the density curve in this interval?

The area under the curve is one.

Reason

Lets draw an histogram. On the vertical axis is the frequency distribution. horizontal axis is the weights. the interval between the bars will be 1.

the height of the bars will be the frequency distribution.

we get the area of the bars by multiplying the bars width and height. add up all with the other weight.

we get 1

Question
Colby starts with 50 bacteria in his culture and the number of bacteria doubles every 2 hours, and Jaquan starts with 80 bacteria that double every 3 hours. x= number of DAYS. Would Colby's experiment be modeled by... y=50(2)^x y=50(2)^8x or y=50(2)^12x Would Jaquan's experiment be modeled by... y=80(2)^x y=80(2)^8x or y=80(2)^12x
Solution 1
Given that x=number of days
To model the expressions we use the exponential growth given by:
y=a(b)^nx
where:
a=initial value
b=growth factor
n=24 hours
thus Colby's experiment will be:
y=50(2)^(1/2*24*x)
y=50(2)^(12x)
N/B we multiply by 24 so as to convert days into hours

b] Jaquan's starts with 80 bacteria that double every 3 hours.
a=80, b=2
thus
y=80(2)^(1/3
×24×x)
simplifying the above we get:
y=80(2)^(8x)

Solution 1
Hi there!

Monday- 0 in.

Tuesday- 3 in.

Wedsnday- 2 1/2 in.

Thursday- 5 in.

Friday- 3 1/2 in.

Question
You and your friend Sam are going to paint your 300 square feet room together. Sam takes 10 minutes to paint 25 square feet. You take 5 minutes to paint 25 square feet. Sam says, "If we paint together, then it will take us 15 minutes to paint 50 square feet!'' Write a EXCEPTIONAL explanation to convince Sam that he is wrong. Thank You.
Solution 1
Fraction that Sam painted in 1 min is:
10/25=2/5
Fraction that you painted in 1 min:
5/25=1/5

Fraction pained by both in 1 min:
1/5+2/5=3/5 ft²/min
Time taken to paint 50 ft² will be:
time=3/5×50=30 min
Thus we conclude that Sam was wrong.

Question
Maria is playing a game where she is trying to draw a spade from a standard deck of cards. if she doesn't get a spade, she replaces the card, shuffles the deck, and tries again. if she draws a card 3 times and doesn't get a spade, she loses. what is the probability that maria loses the game? A.17.8% B.23.7% C.42.2% D.31.6%
Solution 1

Answer:

The correct answer is C. 42.2%

Step-by-step explanation:

Total number of cards in the deck of playing cards = 52

Number of spades in the deck of playing cards = 13

Number of cards other than spade = 52 - 13

                                                          = 39

If she draws a card 3 times and doesn't get a spade, she loses.

So, She loses only if he gets all the three cards other than spade

\text{Probability that she does not get a spade in first draw = }\frac{39}{52}

Now, The card is replaced if she does not get a spade.

\text{So, Probability that she does not get a spade in second draw = }\frac{39}{52}

\text{Similarly, Probability that she does not get a spade in third draw = }\frac{39}{52}

\text{Thus, Probability that she will lose the game = }\frac{39^3}{52^3}=0.422

\text{Also, The percentage of Probability that she will lose the game = }0.422\times 100=42.2\%

Hence, The correct answer is C. 42.2%

Solution 2
The answer would be c. 42.2 percent
